Let’s go for a walk in the woods
You’re in for a treat when you go on a hike with me. Speed isn’t my goal.
As you’re steaming ahead, you look back and find me more than a few steps behind you, staring at rocks, leaves, trees, or some other formation you hadn’t noticed.
“Did you see this?”, I ask.
Easy to miss through the thicket of trees and bushes, and sunlight that has to fight to have presence on the forested trail.
Clearly, signs of my leaf peeping nature transpiring. Autumnal reds and oranges I haven’t seen in what feels like years.
Photo snapped. With one last lingering look at the scene, I hope the photo is half as good as the way I saw it with my own eyes.
